This application will require identity verification through ID.me

Make sure to have one of the following documents ready when you begin the process:

• Driver’s License;
• State ID;
• Passport card; or
• Passport.

In some cases, you will be asked for further documentation. If this is the case, you will need either two primary documents or one primary and two secondary documents from this list. We recommend that you have those documents ready just in case you need them.

This application may require the following:

• Property information from your Tax Assessor’s office or property tax bill;
• Gross income reported on your 2024 NJ-1040.

This is a combined application for the ANCHOR Benefit, Senior Freeze (Property Tax Reimbursement), and Stay NJ programs. The application collects information that the Division of Taxation needs to assess your eligibility for these property tax relief programs. We will determine the benefit(s) you are eligible to receive and issue payments accordingly.

If for any reason you are unable to submit an application online, you may complete a paper application for the program.
