Currently only applicants who are 65 and older or collect Social Security Disability benefits on December 31, 2023 AND December 31, 2024 will be able to file for the Stay NJ.

If you do not meet these requirements, you will not be able to file for Stay NJ at this time.

This application will require ID verification.

Please have ready either:

• One of the following documents: driver's license, state ID, passport card, passport. Make sure you have this ready when you begin the process.


• In some cases, you will be asked for further documentation. If this is the case, you will need either two primary documents or one primary and two secondary documents from this list . We recommend that you prepare those documents just in case you may need them.
